Privacy Policy

This Policy demonstrates Urban Harvest’s commitment to privacy, and outlines its data collection and usage policies. The use of the Website is subject to Urban Harvest’s Website terms. In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between this Policy and the Website terms, the Website terms will prevail.

Definitions

In this Policy:

Policy means this privacy policy;

Product means a product for sale on the Website;

Urban Harvest means Urban Harvest Limited; and

Website means www.urbanharvest.co.nz.

2.Collection

(a)Urban Harvest collects and holds various pieces of information about you. This information includes:

(i)personal information, provided through voluntary registration or purchase orders;

(ii)personal information, provided to Urban Harvest by you through any other method (including without limitation correspondence and discussions);

(iii)personal information collected by Urban Harvest through click tracking in relation to your use of the Website;

(iv)aggregated data, which tracks traffic to the various sites in the Website; and

(v)cookies, which are pieces of information transferred to your computer hard drive for record keeping (such as your preferences on the Website).

(b)You further authorise Urban Harvest to collect personal information about you from any public source.

(c)The personal information collected will be held by Urban Harvest at 29 Hania St, Mt Victoria, Wellington.

3.Purposes

The personal information you provide may be used by Urban Harvest or our employees, contractors or partners for the following purposes:

(a)verification of your identity for use on the Website;

(b)to allow Urban Harvest to deliver the Products ordered by you;

(c)to provide you with further information about the Website or other websites or goods or services offered by Urban Harvest or third parties which Urban Harvest considers may be of interest to you;

(d)to carry out market research and conduct surveys;

(e)for future marketing, promotional and publicity purposes, including direct marketing, market research and surveys;

(f)to keep the Website relevant and of interest to users;

(g)to ensure that you are shown the information that is most relevant to you and your interests; and

(h)for any other use that you authorise.

4.Disclosure

Urban Harvest may disclose all of the information that it collects to its related companies and to the Thorndon Farmers’ Market Trust (owner of the Hill Street Farmers’ Market). Additionally, Urban Harvest may disclose to third parties:

      1. aggregate tracking information and other information that does not personally identify you;

      2. your personal information, when Urban Harvest believes in good faith that it is required to do so by law; and

      3. your personal information, provided Urban Harvest has your prior authorisation, which it will usually obtain at the time of collecting the information from you.

5.Consequences of non-provision of information

Failure to provide necessary personal information requested at the time of registration for or use of the Website may result in access to the Website not being offered and/or provided to you.

6.Access and correction

Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have rights of access to and correction of the personal information held by Urban Harvest. 7.Security

As no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, Urban Harvest cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit or receive through the Website. Once received your data is stored on a secure server behind firewalls, so that your personal details are not accessible from the internet by any third party.

8.Cookies and tracking

(a)Urban Harvest may use a “cookie” file containing information that can identify the computer you are working from. The cookie file does not identify you or your business personally, as it only gives Urban Harvest details of your IP address, PC platform (e.g. Windows, NT or Mac), Browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape or other, plus the version of Browser) and domain (whether you are accessing the Website from New Zealand or elsewhere). Urban Harvest may use the information generated by cookies to:

(i)track traffic patterns to and from the Website;

(ii)ensure any advertising is being shown to the most appropriate party; and

(iii)enable you to enter the Website and use certain services as a member without having to log on each time and to visit registered user only areas of the Website.

(b)You can choose to refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser and/or deleting them from your hard drive.

(c)We use Google Analytics to collect information such as the number of visitors per day or the number of payges requested per day. In order for this to occur a small piece of code is placed on each page which counts these statistics. This non-personal information gained is aggregated by Google Analytics and enables us to measure activity within the Website which helps us improve it.

(d)Emails sent to you on behalf of Us may include code that measure the e-mail response and click through activity.

9.Content providers, advertisers and partners

Urban Harvest does not control the practices of content providers, partners and advertisers connected with the Website and to whom you provide personal information whilst using one of their Website or services. The Website contains links to other websites, which may not follow the same privacy policies as Urban Harvest. Urban Harvest recommends that you check any relevant privacy policies before providing your personal information to any third party.

10.Changes to Policy

Urban Harvest reserves the right to change this Policy at any time by notifying Website users of the existence of a revised Policy.
