These organic Palestinian almonds come from PARC (The Palestinian Agriculture Relief Committees).

PARC has been encouraging Palestinian farmers to grow and process almonds in addition to their other crops to diversify and provide an additional source of income.

PARC helped to establish one large co-operative for almond production in Jenin, and today four women’s co-operatives crack the almonds. The co-operatives are now run autonomously through committees.

Trade Aid's couscous is from a co-op called the ‘Women’s Cooperative for Couscous Production’, located in Ein Al Sultan Refugee camp in Jericho, Palestine.

Helen Abl Al-Haiga, coordinator of the Women's co-operative says "Since working with the co-op our lives have improved dramatically".
